Primum Non Nocere — Latin for “First, Do No Harm” — draws from one of medicine’s oldest ethical principles, reflecting a shared responsibility to protect and preserve human life. Both meditation and statement, the work considers care, accountability, and the imperative to safeguard those most vulnerable.
Against the backdrop of persistent maternal health disparities in the United States — where many deaths remain preventable and disproportionately affect Black and Brown women — the print invites awareness while affirming the urgency of equity within systems of care.
